Orientation and Coordination Meeting with Community Members.
The NCWC organized the orientation and coordination meeting on 9th September 2022, at the YHSS conference Hall, with Thimphu Thromde school principals, officials from Thimphu Thromde, The Royal Bhutan Police, Thromde Education Office, and Theumis/Tshogpas. The NCWC presented the project "Empowering Communities to Address Violence Against Children", protection services offered, Early Identification and Safe Referral, Internal Children Protection and Safeguarding Framework, and The Pema Center Secretariat presented on mental health and wellbeing. The meeting was also an opportunity to encourage coordination amongst key stakeholders in addressing social issues involving children while discussing preventive and responsive measures for peer violence, abuse, and mental health.
