Gender Awareness and Sensitization program in Mongar.

Gups, Gewog Administration Officers and MRG members from four dzongkhags (lhuntse, Trashigang, Mongar and Samdrup Jongkhar) are attending the third Gender Sensitivity and Awareness Training for Elected Local Government Representatives and Officials program in Mongar. Participants are sensitized on basic concepts and definitions including gender, stereotypes, gender equality, gender mainstreaming and empowerment of women, women in politics, introduction to GRPB and explanation of template for preparation of Gender Action Plan for LGs and GEMS.
