Awareness
The National Commission for Women and Children carried out awareness program on the Rules and Regulation of Child Care and Protection Act of Bhutan( CCPA) 2011,Child Adoption Act of Bhutan (CAA) 2012 and Domestic Violence Prevention Act of Bhuta( DVPA) 2015, in Phuntsholing Drungkhag from March 8-11, 2016, covering 1058 people including civil servant and community people and regional offices, students and girls working in Drayang. The sensitization program was lead by the Honorable Chair Lyonpo Dorji Choden (NCWC). While carrying out an awareness the NCWC distributed some pamphlets, copies of the Acts, child friendly version of the CCPA and Rules and Regulations of the Acts. The objective of the sensitization was mainly to create awareness amongest Drungkhag officials, regional officials , girls working in draying and students and community on the three Acts, NCWC and gender and child protection issues in general and expected the participants to be familiar with the laws and child protection issues with the view that they will create awareness among their family, friends and within the community
